For schools and settings
Everything you are being asked to do for inclusion, wellbeing, behaviour and attendance, in one licence, one language and one record.
For mainstream and special schools, independent and prep schools, alternative provision, pupil referral units, hospital education services and colleges.
- What it is
- One whole school way of working that holds emotional literacy, nurture, regulation and trauma informed practice together, so staff learn one thing well rather than several things a little.
- What it costs
- Whole school licences start at £4,000 for a school of up to 40 staff, with every adult trained, three Guides, a whole school team day and a Bronze review. A setting licence, for alternative provision, a school base, special school, college team or hospital education service with up to fifteen staff, is £3,250. See every licence and price.
- How to ask
- Book a free 15 minute call, or a one hour scoping session, which is £150 and credited against a licence taken within sixty days.
- What happens next
- If OurVerse feels right for you, I send you the licence agreement. Once it is signed, a secure payment link follows, and you receive the framework and tools, with the training your licence includes.

One licence instead of several
Many schools buy separate programmes for emotional literacy, nurture, regulation and trauma informed practice, each with its own training, its own assessment and its own yearly fee, and each done in part. OurVerse holds all of that together, so staff who are already stretched are not asked to learn several things at once.
The same thinking that helps young people learning outside school keeps young people well and learning inside school, before school stops working for them.
What you are asked to show
OurVerse covers the seven inclusion principles schools are asked to work to, and the same ground in Ofsted and Independent Schools Inspectorate inspection.
See how OurVerse covers each one
The first seven rows are the seven inclusion principles schools are asked to work to. The same ground is looked at under inclusion, personal development and wellbeing, and attendance and behaviour in Ofsted inspection, and under wellbeing and leadership by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
| What you are asked to show | How OurVerse covers it |
|---|---|
| Ambitious leadership and governance that embeds inclusion | A leaders’ session, a shared language for every adult, records leaders and governors can read at a glance, and a Quality Mark review that shows equity in practice. It gives your inclusion strategy, equality objectives and accessibility plan one spine rather than three. |
| Evidence based support that prioritises early intervention | Support starts from need, never from waiting for a diagnosis. Every young person can have a MeMap and a Holistic Individual Learning Plan, which follow the graduated approach and are ready for the proposed individual support plans. |
| High quality adaptive teaching, with a curriculum designed for all learners | The Freedom Approach in every classroom, and a curriculum from Key Stage 1 to 4 that lets a young person work at different levels in different subjects. |
| Enriching provision beyond the classroom that all children can reach | Enrichment built around each young person’s interests, with OurVerse Plus for independence and self advocacy, so the young people most often left out are planned in from the start. |
| A safe and respectful culture that builds belonging and attendance | Distress is treated as unmet need, and co-regulation and a change of environment replace sanctions. Absence caused by distress is met by reducing its causes, not by adding pressure. Our own wellbeing and distress scale reads each young person against their own signs. |
| Strong partnerships with families and wider services | Plans are written with the young person and their family, not about them, and the model works alongside mental health support teams, health and social care, in a language every partner can follow. |
| Inclusive environments that keep improving accessibility | The review looks at the sensory, physical and social environment as well as policy, so your accessibility plan changes the building and the day, not only the paperwork. |
| Safeguarding, and relationships and health education | Built to sit inside your safeguarding arrangements and in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 and the 2025 relationships, sex and health education guidance. Content on gender identity is for secondary age only. |
| Staff wellbeing and development | Training for every adult that counts towards their continuing professional development, and a way of working that cuts masking, burnout and confrontation for adults as well as young people. |
Where your school stands
Mainstream state schools
Schools that receive the Inclusive Mainstream Fund must publish an inclusion strategy on their website, first by 31 December 2026. The fund pays for new activity under the seven principles, not for work you already do, so OurVerse can be costed in your strategy as new work.
Special schools, alternative provision and hospital education
Inclusion is an evaluation area in Ofsted inspection, and inspectors look at how leaders engage with young people with special educational needs and disabilities. OurVerse gives you the record to show it.
Independent and prep schools
Equality Act duties, an accessibility plan, Keeping Children Safe in Education and relationships education all apply. Almost a quarter of pupils in Independent Schools Council schools are identified as having SEND, according to the Council's 2026 census, and families are paying VAT on fees, so what they buy has to show.
Nurseries, preschools and childminders
Early years has its own model, built for the early years framework and early years inspection: The Early Years Ecosystem.
Whole school training
Foundations for every member of staff, a one to one adult course, Guide accreditation for leads, a whole school team day and a leaders’ session.
Ages and stages
OurVerse follows the primary and secondary phases, from Key Stage 1 to 4, with room to move. Many autistic young people are specialists rather than generalists, so a young person can work well beyond their year group in their passion and at an earlier stage elsewhere, without either being treated as a problem.
What stands behind it
OurVerse is new as a licence. The work inside it is not. It was built by Yasmin A Darling from 31 years of practice with children, young people and families, and it has been used every week since 2025.
Record, qualifications and awards

Rights and safeguarding
She set up and ran a children’s rights and participation service for Action for Children, is a former early years SENCO, and has been a designated safeguarding lead for many years. Enhanced DBS check with the children’s barred list, August 2026, Designated Safeguarding Lead training for children at Level 3, Online Safety and Harms, and the Home Office Prevent awareness, Prevent referrals, and Channel or Prevent Multi-Agency Panel courses, October 2026.
Yasmin is currently in postgraduate training at the Tavistock and Portman. She is in training, is not yet qualified, and is not a therapist, counsellor, psychologist or social worker. There is no independent evaluation of OurVerse yet. Founding members will help build one. Read the evidence or read more about Yasmin.
