The Quality Mark
Ten Quality Standards describe what good community education looks like. They are written for what community education is, not borrowed from a school inspection framework.
| Level | What it recognises | Valid for | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | Getting started, with the first four standards met in full | Three years | £400 |
| Silver | All ten standards met, with a visit | Three years | £900, plus travel at cost |
| Gold | All ten standards met, with young people shaping the provision | Three years | £1,200, plus travel at cost |
The Quality Mark shows a setting uses the model well. It is not an inspection, a regulatory judgement or a safeguarding audit. Each setting keeps full responsibility for its own safeguarding and legal duties.

How it is decided
A trained reviewer looks at the evidence, and visits for Silver and Gold. No award is made by the reviewer alone: an independent moderator, who is not employed by Yasmin A Darling Consultancy Ltd and has not trained or advised that setting, checks every recommendation first. Young people’s views count as evidence at every level.
Appeals and the public list
Any setting can appeal a decision in writing, and the appeal is heard by someone who took no part in it. Once the first awards are made, every setting holding the Quality Mark will be listed on this site with its level and the date it runs to.
The Quality Mark is awarded by Yasmin A Darling Consultancy Ltd. It is not a government scheme.
